NUTREN
DIABPRO powdered nutritional formula is a nutritionally balanced diet for
oral consumption or tube feeding, designed for the dietary management of
people with diabetes or hyperglycemia. It may be used as the sole source of
nutrition, as a supplement, or as part of a healthy diabetic meal plan. It
contains 11.3g protein and 4.79g fibre per serve. It is Gluten-free &
lactose-free and meets the International Diabetic Guidelines.
It has a Low Glycemic Index (28). The Glycemic Index (GI) is a measure of
the effect carbohydrates have on blood glucose levels. Products with a low GI
release glucose more slowly into the blood stream and thus leads to a small
and gradual rise in blood glucose.
Suitable as a sole source of nutrition. USE UNDER MEDICAL SUPERVISION. Not
for intravenous use. Not suitable for children below 4 years of age. When
used as a tube feeding, do not add medications or other foods to the feeding.
